well, 2009 has been an eventful year for me
i learned a lot, and (i believe) grew a lot as a person
overall, 2009 wasn't really friendly to me at all
i've lost more than i've gained, and that's never good
but it's the last day of 2009
as much as i hate it, i think i'm gonna miss it
maybe 2009 and i were in a more-hate-equals-more-love relationship?

Santa is coming

i promised myself that i would update this but
i keep on forgetting

well, today's post is simple
here's a christmas carol i worked on, santa claus is coming to town

it's been 11 days since i wrote my last post about how i'm being sleep-deprived
time for some updates, i guess

we finally recorded the first digital single ever
the release date is set for mid-december, more specifically around 17th or 18th
so if you're reading this, remember to buy our album!
our band name is now 2UNIQ and it's still a bit awkward for me
but i'll get used to it, i'm sure

yesterday was black friday and i bought a 20" dell monitor for $99
never had a computer screen this big and it's ... pretty cool? i guess?
i also set up my old monitor as a secondary monitor
so now i have that whole dual-screen-ness going on as well!
now i can waste more time on my computer multi-tasking

well, other than that, nothing really happened
but i was busy for some damn reason
someone told me that being unemployed means you're more busy
and i guess that is somewhat true



some things are bothering me and i can't really explain what they are
i might have dragged myself a little too far

i ended up going to a bar on saturday night
didn't really plan on drinking at the moment
but i ended up getting pretty wasted

well everything was good until one of the kids i was with
decided to start a fight with someone
it didn't escalate to a bigger mess
but he ended up being thrown down on the floor
since we were at a korean bar and i was the oldest one,
i had to go around saying sorry to everyone who was involved
after that, we drank some more and that's when i got really drunk

i came home around 4:30 in the morning and
tried to go to sleep right away
but my stomach decided to pump out what i gave it earlier
every hour or so, i ended up on my bathroom floor,
holding my toilet and vomiting very sour tasting i-don't-know-what
around 8 o'clock, my dad woke up and realized
i was going to the bathroom a bit too much
so i had to tell him that i must have eaten something wrong the night before
without tums, my misery would have lasted a lot longer
but the antacid tablets saved me from death
(take antacids if your stomach's pumping out acid due to excessive drinking!)

well, i ended up going to church late
and spent the rest of the day feeling like shit
my throat is still irritated from all the puking
need to get better before saturday because i'm going into a studio to record

and i need to do my beauty sleeps

le cercle

steve, the vice president of my label LMG,
called me at 5:30 pm today and told me to come to le cercle
(le cercle is a korean club in LA)
my label is linked up with tvlesson.com
and they were shooting a how-to video on clubbing, korean style
he also said dj koo and kim gun-mo were performing
it seemed like a good opportunity to hang out with my label guys
aside from business and all that, so i went

it was my first time being at a korean style night club
i didn't even go to a night club in korea
(note: there is a HUGE difference between a club and a night club)
well actually, i don't go clubbing so i guess you could say
it was the first time being at a club all together
today being friday and all,
i was expecting the whole place to be packed but it wasn't
the night didn't go as planned, it seemed
girls refused to do interviews with us, giving us some bullshit reasons like
"my face is too ugly" and "i'm not supposed to be here"
well, my face is too ugly part i guess WAS true, but still
the guys from tvlesson.com were told they'd only be there 'til 7
but we ended up shooting until 11:30 so they wanted to leave
and dj koo and kim gun-mo didn't even show up

it was, however, very amusing to see girls getting dragged here and there
apparently, that's what they do at korean style night clubs
girls get in basically for free while guys puke out a shitload of money
and waiters, in return, grab girls and bring them to guys' tables

well, shane, another guy from my label, got me a free shot of i don't know what
and i got to feel what korean style night clubs were like
a very interesting night, it was

well, i had a job interview yesterday
and i got an e-mail earlier today.

it read,

after having a roast beef and chedder cheese sandwich from quiznos,
i stepped into my backyard to find a dead rat.
that's right, i said a dead rat. a dead fucking rat.
